these stars

laying down
up on this roof
of the home I will soon leave
I look up to
the stars
dancing
twinkling
running
across the dark sky.
clouds move
ever so slowly
through the atmosphere.
I always thought
that the i could
see the world moving
as I watched the stars.
the glittering specks of light
give me a sense of
understanding.
they help me think
to put my mind at ease.
the rustle
of leaves from
all of these trees
lull me into
calm.
watching planes swim
across the thick
deep blue
I wish I could be
there headed towards you.
little trickles of glass
slide down my face
as I look for an
answer
something
anything
to keep me from letting
go.
